Productive weekdends
It’s been a while since I left the shop and felt accomplished. I think it’s working on the Q thats the problem, because the work isn’t anything new. Even though I daily the Q so I get to enjoy it everyday unlike the race car I still dont feel that sense of accomplishment. Long story short today was one of those days and it’s only Saturday! I’m sitting in the parking lot waiting to pick Nicole up for Gymkhana at Irwindale and figured I’d post some progress from today. I picked up my freshly polished and clear coated s1’s for the Q yesterday and spent the morning reassembling them I always forget what a pita it is putting them back together and torqing all 800 bolts. But got them reassembled and sealed so hopefully they will be ready to mount tomorrow. Did a lot of cleaning at the shop and cut the front off the Skyline 😉 it was much more dramatic then the rear because the rear I did in very small sections as I was figuring out the tube design. Well the front is easy compared to the rear so I just cut the whole thing off in one piece, one big crash later the car had no front. That’s it for now but stay tuned hopefully Bruiser will post his big news from the day.
