Yesterday, Bryan and I went to America’s Family Pet Expo with one mission in mind – cat tree!
We have had our cats about three and a half years and our current cat condo just as long. To say the least, it’s definitely seen better days. We had seen really cool cat trees on tv and online so we had high hopes that we would find something perfect.
We did!
And they love it!
We also got to go see our good friend Ryan and it was so nice to catch up!
Time to wire up the engine harness! I’ll be putting it through a milspec bulkhead connector on the firewall to make it clean and easy. Bunny always helps me with my wiring projects and she has gotten quite good at it.

Finished up all the radiator and air separator tank a while ago but I guess I never posted pics. The catch can and air separator are all AN fittings and mounted to the radiator so it’s easy to deal with as I can pull it all out in one piece.
I’ve always heard of batteries exploding when they get discharged and then spark but I have never witnessed it until the other day. The 510 battery was a hand me down from Nicole’s Falcon and has been through hell and back with the 510 for the last 2 years. It finally gave out though and in dramatic fashion. I was cranking it with the charger hooked up and booooooom it literally exploded. It was so loud I had no idea what happened until I went back and checked. Here is the aftermath.
Here is a quick look at the Mazworx goodies going on the S13. Z32 transmission with machined bellhousing and s-chassis swap headers. I was going to fab up headers but in the interest of saving time and getting this thing on the road I decided to buy these. Should make decent power and sound a lot better then the stock manifolds.
Since the S13 is a street car I wanted to make it hassle free to drive so I decided to run an oil thermostat to help with warm up. Since I’ve never used one i guess I never realized what a huge pain in the ass they are! There is no room in the engine bay with the vh45 it’s so crammed in there as it is that adding anything is a huge task. Finally got all the oil lines figured out and fitting nicely.
Selling my half block oracle pump. It’s fully sick with all CP and CCM parts. Shoots super fast and consistently +/- 3fps over the chrono. Hit me up for details if you are interested.
Brewed this Bourbon Barrel Ale today. It is supposed to simulate the taste of aged bourbon, I’ll add oak chips and Wild Turkey Honey to the secondary and then it has to age for 6 mo. so it will be a wait before I can enjoy it. I’m very interested in how it will turn out though I’ll let you know when I get my first sample!
Welded up more tanks for the s13 the overflow tank with drain and sight on the side. Also made a 4 to 1 adapter for the PCV system since the stock vh45 valve covers have 2 PCV attachments on each side. The stock hoses and covers are a mess so I have simplified everything as much as possible to clean it up.
